Saturday, January 22, 2011 the Jury met the Literary Prize "The Seriola " Hinc URBIS POTUS, sponsored by Biblioteca Comunale di Dolo, to designate the winners of the 2010 edition.

examined a total n.335 stories as follows: Section
P (primary), developed n.5
Section M (middle school), n.181 developed
Section S (high school), , n.101 developed
Section A (adult), n.48 developed
The unpublished short stories to be admitted to the competition should start with the following sentence: "My mother raised eyes looking at the stars. There were so many there. The hand trembled slightly as he chose one. He pointed a finger. " (incipit the novel "A Star Called Henry" by Irish writer Roddy Doyle).
Section P "Stars" by Francesco Marcolini attending the class 5 of the "Virgo Carmeli" and a resident of Verona Verona
Reason: Due to the sensitivity of the images with simple words and express the positivity of spontaneous life.
Section M "The Winter Rose" by Cesare Bisantis attending the class 3 Middle School Institute Don Bosco di Padova and a resident of Padua
Reasons: For the original development of the incipit, the narrative construction effectively articulated with a word choice is consistent with the general "noir." Also the impact of happy surprise ending.
Section S "That crazy young people call the sky" Agnes Peretto attending the class 4 of the Liceo Scientifico "Trissino" and a resident of Valdagno Valdagno (Vi)
Reasons: For the writing lively prose and relentless and full of visual detail. It is very much appreciated the originality and style.
Section A "In the cold night of stars" Patrick Girardello resident in Chioggia (Venice)
Reason: For making a tragic true story with a plot of records ranging from lyrical tone than realistic.
"Pit" by Frank Luce lives in Dolo (Venice)
Reasons: For the original style that describes the reality of contemporary youth with a few dry flash in which the dialogue is the protagonist.
The winners will be awarded Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Cinema Italy (Via Comunetti 12) during an event that will start at 10:45.
The event will be read, by the Associazione Culturale "Pro.Te.So" Dolo, excerpts from the stories winners Prize.
At the Festival buffet offered by the City of Dolo.
